Privacy policy
How SEO for Aussie Tradies collects, uses, shares and protects personal information, under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. Last updated 8 November 2026.
About this policy
SEO for Aussie Tradies is a brand of PJD Digital Enterprises Pty Ltd (ABN 84 669 033 872), trading as Uppercut Digital. In this policy "we", "us" and "our" mean that company. The policy covers this website, seoforaussietradies.com.au, and the services we provide to Australian tradies.
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What we collect
What you send us. When you fill in a form, use the chat box, email or call us, we collect your name, business name, phone number, email address, website and anything else you choose to tell us. With a form or chat message we also record the page you sent it from, any campaign tags in that page's address, and your IP address, which is used for the spam check.
Newsletter. If you sign up, we collect your first name if you give it, your email address and the site you signed up on.
Free tools. The checkers ask for a business name and location, which is business information rather than information about you. We keep the result for up to seven days so the same search is not paid for twice, and keep your IP address for up to two days to apply the daily limit on checks.
What is collected automatically. When you visit, we collect technical and usage information: your IP address and the approximate location it points to, your browser and device, the pages you view and for how long, the page that referred you, and the ad or search that brought you here.
If you become a client. We hold the business and billing details we need to deliver and invoice our services, and you give us access to accounts you control, such as your website, Google Business Profile, Google Ads and analytics.
What we do not want. We do not seek sensitive information as defined in the Privacy Act, such as health information, and we ask that you do not send it to us.
How we collect it
Directly from you, through the forms and chat box on this site, by email, by phone and in meetings, and automatically through cookies and similar technology, described below. If we collect information about you from someone else, for example a referral or publicly available business details, we take reasonable steps to let you know.
Why we use it
We use personal information to:
- reply to your enquiry and prepare the audit or proposal you asked for;
- deliver, manage and report on the services you engage us for;
- invoice you and keep our accounts;
- send you the newsletter you signed up for. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we follow the Spam Act 2003;
- understand how this site is used and which pages and campaigns work;
- keep the site secure and stop spam; and
- meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
Who we share it with
We share personal information with the service providers who help us run this site and our business:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this site, protects it from bots (Turnstile), and delivers form and chat messages to our inbox.
- Google: Google Analytics to measure how the site is used, and Google Workspace, where our email is kept.
- HubSpot, which holds our newsletter list and sends the newsletter.
- DataForSEO, a search data provider. When you use a free checker, the business name, suburb, state and, on the map checker, the job you pick are sent to it to run the search.
- YouTube, for the videos on this site. A video is loaded from YouTube's privacy-enhanced service only when you press play.
- Our professional advisers, and anyone we are required by law to disclose information to.
We may also share information if our business is sold or restructured, in which case it would pass to the new owner under this policy.
Information sent overseas
Several of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure the provider handles it consistently with the APPs, including relying on its own contractual data protection commitments. We cannot guarantee that an overseas provider is bound by privacy laws equal to Australia's.
Cookies and similar technology
This site uses cookies and browser storage to keep the site working, protect it from bots, remember small things during your visit (such as whether you have closed the chat box) and measure traffic. They fall into essential cookies the site needs to work and to stop bots, analytics cookies that tell us how the site is used.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells one visitor from another, so we can count visitors | About 13 months |
_ga_05PMFJ6D1K | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your current visit | About 13 months |

rp-closed | This site (browser storage) | Remembers you closed the reviews pop-up | Until you close the tab |
Cloudflare's bot check runs in its own frame from Cloudflare's servers, and we found no cookie from it on this site. YouTube videos and Google Maps load nothing until you press play or show the map; once you do, YouTube and Google may set their own cookies under their own policies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ad Settings or Your Online Choices. Blocking cookies may stop parts of this site working.
How we protect it
Personal information is held in our email, CRM, accounting software and the providers listed above. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, including encrypted connections, access limited to the people who need it, and providers with their own security programs. No way of sending or storing information is completely secure. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will act under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, including telling the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) where required.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires. Financial records, for example, are generally kept for seven years. Enquiries that do not become work are kept for a reasonable time so we can answer follow-up contact, then deleted or de-identified.
Seeing and correcting your information
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong, out of date, incomplete or misleading. Email hello@uppercutdigital.com.au and we will reply within a reasonable time, usually 30 days. It costs nothing to ask. If we refuse a request, we will explain why in writing.
Complaints
If you think we have breached the APPs, please tell us first at hello@uppercutdigital.com.au. We will acknowledge your complaint, look into it and reply in writing, usually within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the OAIC on 1300 363 992.
Visitors outside Australia
This site is for Australian tradies. If you contact us from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have further rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection. Contact us and we will handle your request on that basis.
Children
Our services are for businesses, not people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The version on this page is always the current one, and changes take effect when they are published. This version was last updated on 8 November 2026.
